ArtiFace:
ArtiFace provides a total solution for mapping human expressions, facial gestures and automatic lip-synchronization to any 3D model. To use ArtiFace, one records a live actor with a video camera. The 2D video sequence is then automatically analyzed, producing complete motion data of the facial elements.
A 3D model of choice is then imported and assigned with a muscle structure. Finally, the motion data and model are combined to produce a realistic animated sequence that perfectly imitates the original facial gestures and speech performed by the actor. A 10 second facial animation scene can be created from start to finish within less than one hour. Compared to other products, ArtiFace provides substantially superior animation quality and drastically reduces production time.
